Registration opens August 1 for 2019 Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon featuring new finish line

Registration will open at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, August 1, for the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon events taking place March 30-31, 2019.

For the upcoming 15th annual race event, participants will enjoy a new finish-line experience in World’s Fair Park. Due to scheduled renovations at Neyland Stadium, the finish line will be moved for the 2019 race weekend.

Race officials currently are planning additional post-race festivities for finishers, family and fans to enjoy at World’s Fair Park.

“For many years we’ve enjoyed a finish on the 50-yard line, but in 2019, we’ll be cheering and celebrating under Knoxville’s iconic Sunsphere in World’s Fair Park,” Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon race director Jason Altman said. “We’re excited about the family-friendly, party-like atmosphere participants can expect at this year’s finish line. We’ll be making more announcements over the coming months as we finalize the new course and fun plans for the weekend’s festivities.”

In celebration of the 15th annual race event, Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon is offering valuable perks for race participants, including free race photos. Look for additional updates on special giveaways for marathon and half-marathon finishers coming soon.

Fittest School Challenge Results are in!

2018 Fittest School Challenge Results are in!
Thanks to a sponsorship by Regal Entertainment Group, we are proud to award $4,200 to area schools through our 2018 Fittest School Challenge.

The Fittest School Challenge is a competition between area schools that awards winners based upon percentage of participation. Each child that participated in the March 24, 2018 Covenant Kids Run earned one point for their school. We tallied up each school’s respective points and divided that number by the total enrollment of that school to determine their participation percentage. We award prize money to the top ten schools in a ten county radius. More than one school in each county is eligible to win prize money. The list of winners and prize money breakdown is listed below:
