Fittest Company Challenge Luncheon to be held November 28!

Join us for our annual Fittest Company Challenge Luncheon on Tuesday, November 28, at noon, at the new ORNL Federal Credit Union location off of Pellissippi Parkway and Northshore Drive. This is a great opportunity to learn how to encourage your company’s employee participation in the 2018 CHKM and its Fittest Company Challenge. Attendance if FREE, but space is limited. 2017 Fittest School Challenge

Regal Entertainment GroupResults for the 2017 Fittest School Challenge are in! We had a record number of schools compete in this year’s Challenge. Thanks to a sponsorship by Regal Entertainment Group, we are proud to award $4,000 to area schools through our 2017 Fittest School Challenge.

The Fittest School Challenge is a competition between area schools that awards winners based upon percentage of participation. Each child that participated in the April 1, 2017 Covenant Kids Run earned one point for their school. We tallied up each school’s respective points and divided that number by the total enrollment of that school to determine their participation percentage. We will award prize money to the top ten elementary schools in a ten county radius. More than one school in each county is eligible to win prize money. On to the results…

2017 Community Contribution Program Recipients Announced

The Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon has been a success due to the unbelievable support within the community. Each year the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon (CHKM), the premier event of the Knoxville Track Club, sets aside funds for its community contribution program.

CHKM Community Contribution ProgramOn September 20, the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon presented a total of $18,000 in grants to five local organizations to support healthy living in East Tennessee.

Grant recipients include the YWCA Knoxville, The Muse Knoxville, Appalachian Mountain Bike Club, Knox County Schools and Sunshine Ambassadors.

“This year we are supporting five local programs that will make a positive impact on the overall health of our community,” Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon Executive Director Jason Altman said. “We look forward to seeing these programs in action.”
