These are the most frequently asked questions.
Q: When do I log my miles for the Virtual Event?
A: You can log your miles anytime from November 7th through November 15th.
Q: Where do I run or walk my mileage for the virtual race?
A: Anywhere you like! You are welcome to log your miles in your neighborhood, on a treadmill, your local greenway, or even the actual CHKM routes! While we will repaint the start line, finish line, and mile markers, please note that the roads will be open to traffic so using the sidewalk would be advised.
Q: How do I submit results?
A: You will be able to submit your results on the marathon’s Runsignup.com Results page. Results can be uploaded or input manually. We will send thorough instructions for submitting your results in late October.
Q: Is there still a Fittest Company Challenge?
A: Yes! We will still tabulate points for top companies for the Fittest Company Challenge. We will award the top three companies in the small, medium, and large divisions as usual.
Q: Is there still a Fittest School Challenge?
A: Yes! We will still tabulate points for the top schools for the Fittest School Challenge. We will award prize money and plaques to the top teams as usual.
Q: Can I split the distance among several days?
A: Yes! Let’s say you register for the marathon. You can do all 26.2 miles in one shot on a day between November 7 – 15. Or you split the 26.2 miles over several days and input your mileage and time for each day to total up to 26.2 miles.
Q: How will relay results work?
A: Each person on your relay team will run or walk an equal amount of distance (6.55 mileage for the 4 person relay team members, 13.1 miles for the 2 person relay team members). Once all team members have input their mileage and time for that segment into the results database, the results will produce a cumulative time for the team.
Q: Can I sign up for more than one event?
A: Yes! With the nine day window, we have many people registering for multiple events. For instance, you could do the 5K on November 7th and the half marathon on November 14th.
Q: How will we receive our packets?
A: Virtual participants can pick up their packets at the World’s Fair Exhibition Hall (935 World’s Fair Park Drive) in Exhibit Hall 1 on:
Saturday, November 7th: 19 am – 5 pm
Sunday, November 8th: 1 pm-5 pm
Masks will be required for picking up and social distancing measures will be observed. You may pickup for multiple people.
