Two-time U.S. Olympic medal winner Frank Shorter to speak at Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon Health & Fitness Expo

Frank Shorter, the first and only American to win multiple medals in the Olympic marathon, will be the featured speaker for the Health & Fitness Expo, part of the Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon weekend October 2-3.

The Olympian won a gold medal at the 1972 Munich Games and a silver medal at the 1976 Montreal Olympics. However, Shorter’s first national recognition took place at the University of Tennessee’s Tom Black Track in Knoxville where he won the 1969 NCAA championship in the six-mile.

We will share more information about Frank’s appearance in Knoxville as we approach race weekend!

Virtual Goody Bag Information

The Covenant Health Knoxville Marathon Virtual Goody Bag Program is a great way to get information on your goods and/or services in front of many potential customers. It is extremely cost effective too! The Marathon will have 9,000 goody bags and will distribute them to all registered marathoners, half marathoners, relay runners, 5K, and Covenant Kids Run participants. Goody bags are an item that runners look forward to and enjoy going through the items inside. Items can include a tangible item in the bags themselves or you can insert a brochure/flier in our Virtual Goody Bag.
