Volunteers & Spectators
Be part of Knoxville’s own world-class athletic event! We’ll need tons of volunteers to set up and staff Aid (water) Stations, be course marshals, work the Expo and offer support to runners at the Start, Finish, and other parts of the course. We have fun and exciting opportunities for everyone!
Sign up with friends, family, co-workers, schools, churches, nonprofit groups, or any other group of people. You can work together and have fun while supporting this great athletic achievement.
Best Spots to Watch in 2024
Start Line – All events start on the Clinch Avenue Bridge, so you will be able to see your friend start. Both the marathon and half-marathon courses will come through one block away (at the corner of World’s Fair Park Drive and Clinch Ave) at mile 12.5. Marathoners will then come back through the start line at mile 25.5.
Western Plaza – Located at the 4400 block of Kingston Pike, Western Plaza has long been a hot spot for full and half-marathon spectators. This location is a great place to see triumphant faces of participants who have just conquered “The Hill” at Noelton Drive. With live bands, a water stop sponsored by Runners Market, and rowdy fans, this location is one of the favorites among runners and spectators alike!
Tyson Park – Located just off of Cumberland Avenue, you’ll see runners and walkers come through this area as they travel down Third Creek Greenway.
Caswell Park – Located in the beautiful Parkridge neighborhood, Caswell Park is a great location to spot marathoners as they travel near the 16th mile.
Island Home – Island Home won “Best Neighborhood” for several years. This is approximately miles 21-23, so the marathoners need your support!
Finish Line – The finish line will be located at World’s Fair Park for the 2024 event. This will be a great location to cheer on and congratulate participants!
